Admission Requirements
Campbell University’s admissions policies are applicable to all potential students. Full policies on Admissions can be found in the University catalog.
These policies, coupled with rolling admissions each 8-week accelerated term, allow adult students provisional admission while awaiting receipt of all required documents. All first-time college students (those students with no prior college experience) must undergo initial entry assessment and counseling.
The primary factor in the admissions process is prior academic performance in high school or in college-level courses. Other factors may include high school performance, work experience, military service, optional standardized test results, and a student’s potential to contribute positively to the Campbell environment. There are two routes for admission: (1) applicants with only high school graduate experience, and (2) applicants with prior college experience.
- High school graduate-only applicants: The primary factor in the admissions process is cumulative unweighted high school GPA and/or military experience.
- Applicants with prior college experience: The primary factor in the admissions process is previous college performance with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 from the most recent college experience and/or military experience (Teacher Education programs require a 2.5 GPA).
The first step is to complete the application, which includes submitting all unofficial transcripts. There is no fee and no obligation.
Home-Schooled Student Requirements
Campbell Online welcomes applications from those students who were home-schooled. We have many such students from a faith-based, or a military family, or other kinds of background. We require a home school transcript, a copy of the Notice of Intent to Operate a Home School, and detailed information about the academic program you have pursued. Standardized test scores are not mandatory. If you have taken any courses at a school or college, please include those course transcripts. The first step is to complete the application, which includes submitting all unofficial transcripts. There is no fee and no obligation.
International Student Requirements
Campbell Online welcomes applications from students around the world. In addition to the admissions standards described above, we require proficiency in the English language as demonstrated by a score of 85 or higher on the internet-based Duolingo test or equivalent measure.
All foreign transcripts must be evaluated and translated into English before admissions and transfer decisions can be made. The applicant is responsible for the translation and evaluation of documents and for all costs and fees associated with these services. The suggested academic evaluation agencies can be found here: https://www.naces.org/ The first step is to complete the application, which includes submitting all unofficial transcripts. There is no fee and no obligation.
Official Transcripts
Upon acceptance, students must submit official transcripts from all previous institutions. Official transcripts may be sent electronically to online@campbell.edu or mailed to Campbell University Online at PO BOX 264, Buies Creek, NC 27506.
